Morris Bean & Company has been providing aluminum casting excellence since 1946 and has an immediate opening for a Process Engineer in Yellow Springs, OH. We utilize gravity and low-pressure casting processes for aluminum alloys in the 300 series. Molding methods include Antioch plaster, air-set sand, and cold-box sand in combination with permanent and semi-permanent molds. Our gravity pour process has the capacity for castings up to 3,000 lbs.
Duties
Implement and support continuous improvement of processes throughout operation.
Develop new production processes for first article production.
Support production teams with education on best practices.
Perform root cause analysis on manufacturing quality concerns and work with production and management to implement solutions.
Lead or participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and general issues.
Perform any and all other job-related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Requirements
3 Years hands-on foundry experience.
Systematic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Detail oriented with a focus on quality, execution and follow through.
Strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communications with all levels of operations.
Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects.
Ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings and blueprints.
Must be computer proficient including word processing, spreadsheets, basic file structure understanding, networks, and web navigation. Casting simulation, AutoCAD and Solidworks experience a plus.
Management, facilities or capital project experience a plus.
